I'm a native Southern Californian and live in Anaheim in the shadow of the Mouse.
I’ve done a little bit of everything: raised a family, lived abroad, learn another language, helped run a construction business, spent more time in school than I'd like to admit, and I taught English at the university level for fifteen years. Now, I’m a freelance writer. I'm President of the Orange County Branch of the California Writers Club. Currently I'm working on a composition textbook and a young adult novel.
I love to travel, eat, talk, read, see films and plays, discover new facts, visit with family and friends, play around outdoors, and whatever else comes my way. Because I'm interested in everything, I'm one of those people who knows a little bit about a zillion things, but alas I'm the master of none. I admire people who devote their lives to specializing. I would die of boredom, so I'm glad other people like knowing everything about one thing. I've been told I'm a good conversationalist, but then I've also been told I'm a know-it-all.
I believe everyone should explore life and do the things they like. So, if you are a specialist, be the best you can be. I once told a student, "If it’s not fun don’t to it!" She promptly told me my class wasn't fun. "Drop it. Or learn to have fun with it." I think that was the know-it-all coming out.
Choices. Life is full of choices.
I love to read almost anything. I am particularly fond of I science fiction and fantasy. I believe we all live in a world of our own creation.
